Check out video of the Nomadic servicing the Olympic in the 1920s! (from 1:53).

I'm pretty sure this is Nomadic as the men leaving the ship seem to be 1st or 2nd class and they are leaving by the D Deck gangway.

Hi Sam, yes you are right, that is Nomadic.

It's great to see you taking an interest in the ship again after all these years and one of the very original Nomadic supporters back on the scene.

I know Philippe will be very happy to hear from you.

A very warm welcome to you and all my thanks for the very noble effort you helped to mount before most of us had ever even heard of the ship.

Regards - Mervyn.

Hi Phillipe and Mervyn,

Thank you so much for your kind words - I'm surprised you recognised my name after so long!

I can't express my admiration enough for the work that you have all put in to bring the ship back to Belfast and in the ongoing battle to have her restored.

Not long after speaking to the Ulster Titanic Society about the Nomadic (on September 11th 2001) I got married, had kids and as you can imagine my time was taken up by more pressing needs!

I have watched your progress over the years, though, and I have no doubt that one day she will be fully returned to her former glory.

In the meantime, if there is anything I can do to help now or in the future, please let me know.

Sam
