Nomadic can be seen in James Camerons 1997 blockbuster movie when Titanic calls at Cherbourg.
Harland and Wolff Ships Index
This is an index of vessels built by H & W. It is not comprehensive as many smaller contracts for pontoons, bridges, and smaller vessels etc were not allocated hull numbers. Many additional items such as trains, aircraft, tanks and other military equipment were also manufactured at the Belfast plant which is not covered by this index. As well as owning the massive Queens Island yards at Belfast, H & W controlled or owned outright several other yards, engineering works and shipping concerns. These were to contribute to the prodigious output of the company, as well as several independent builders who were subcontracted to build vessels when order books were filled to capacity. The index is colour coded to illustrate this and a key can be found below.
